Bio
Jónas Reynir Gunnarsson was born in Reykjavík in 1987. He grew up in the east of the country, matriculated from the Egilsstadir High School and completed his undergraduate and masters degree in creative writing from the University of Iceland.
Jónas's first book, the poetry collection Leiðarvísir um þorp, was published in 2011. In the same year he published the novel Millilending and another poetry collection, Stór olíuskip.
In 2018, he published the novel Krossfiskar, and a book of poems, Þvottadagur, is expected at the end of 2019. In 2017, Jónas Reynir received the Tómas Guðmundsson poetry prize for the poetry collection Stór olíuskip.
Jónas lives in Reykjavik.
