A play by Vala Þórsdóttir, inspired by five of Svava's short stories. The stories are Eldhús eftir máli, Gefið hvort öðru, Saga handa börnum, Krabbadýr, brúðkaup, andlát and Veisla undir grjótvegg. The play premiered at the National Theatre of Iceland in December 2005, in honor of Svava's, who would have turned 75 years old that year.
Directed by Ágústa Skúladóttir. The play won the DV Cultural Prize (Drama) in 2005.
