Play on a table was chosen the best story in competition about The Icelandic childrens book award in 2000. Many exciting and entertaining manuscripts came in the competiton but it was still unanimous opinion of the selection committee that Play on a table, it was noticeable that both the treatment of material and also figure of speech.
