About the book
The work is split into seven main chapters with each chapter being dedicated to one eruption site; Kröflu, Öskju, Grímsvötnum, Heklu, Kötlu, Surtsey og Heimaey. Ari Trausti Guðmundsson wrote the photo descriptions as well as an introduction to each chapter and an overview over the history and nature of volcanic activity and land formation in Iceland. Ragnar Th. Sigurðsson edited the photo which he drew together from many photographers.
